Mary Beth and I went to the last Indie Memphis movie last night. It was Tip of My Tongue by Lynne Sachs and it was really good. People talking about years and stuff and nice visuals. After it was over I went up to Murphy's to see Simply Saucer. I missed the opening acts (wouldn't have minded seeing Aquarian Blood again) but got there with good timing as they were setting up when I arrived. I'd never heard them before. They were pretty good, a little more rock'n'roll than I was expecting. There were some pretty nice guitark moments though. I picked up a t-shirt afterwards. Now I just need to get that comp with their stuff, eh? I guess Goner put it on and the Goner crowd was out in full effect. It didn't get out super late for a Murphy's show, but still late for a work night. And after two late nights in a row I was feeling a little on the dead side today. Not horrendously, but yeah. Anyway, now I'm home and not going out at all tonight!
