Went over to Memphis Flyer editor Alex's house yesterday for an interview about Memphis Concrète. It went pretty. We talked for just a bit before and after and the interview part just kinda flowed from the conversation. He was really nice so it was pretty laid back. He showed me his studio. And afterwards he played a record he did with Luis before the show. I thought I said stuff pretty well for the most part. But man, even under the best, most relaxed conditions where I'm talking about something I love so much, talking is difficult even if it feels mostly effortless at the time. I came home and my face just felt like it was going to explode from all the blood rushed into it. My head was just in this stratospheric place sort of like a headache but somewhere in my jaws. A lot of it probably came from actually talking about things I got excited about where I'm getting into it and the blood is rushing to my head or whatever. Anyway, I was wound up for a good while. I worked off and on on the written interview I got from Chris who does the Sonospheres podcast. I got really overly verbose on it, but I wanted to answer well. Anyway, did eventually finish it into the later part of the night. Sent it off this morning. So much interviewing! Okay, I need to stop thinking about it before my face gets worked up again!
