Last night I finished reading Cannibals and Christians by Norman Mailer. Overall it was okay. Some of it was really good and some of it was alright and some tedious-to-bad. The fake interviews got a bit tedious. Also, he really didn't like modern/minimal architecture. He really liked to squeeze in his tastes on that into all sorts of subjects. Today at work was alright. Mary Beth made oatmeal/apricot/pistachio cookies for me to bring. And it was going pretty well until my Visual Studio free trial ran out in the middle of the day with no warning. It was such a lack of warning that I didn't even realize I was on a free trial to begin with. And then it's a hard cutoff and I couldn't use it at all. Well, I decide to reinstall the community edition til I can get the license sorted out. Well that takes almost two hours and then it doesn't work anyway. I apparently have to uninstall it first before I reinstall. Ugh. So I have to backup my settings before that. Really annoying. And I've been using the damn thing for like three months. Really stupid. I mean, partly it was me being really stupid, but I signed into it with my servicemaster account and it worked and there was never any indication it was a free trial of any sort. Anyway. Annoying shit. Well, that's about it for me.
