Half

Ended the work day today with a couple slightly awkward meetings, or a slightly awkward meeting and a half. The first was with my old team and new team and it was describing my role as continuing the old messaging work for the one pi before passing it off to them (nobody ever wants to hear that they're going to be responsible for more work). It might not end up quite that way, the higher-ups did mention before the next pi more will need to be worked out, but that's where it is for now. The next meeting was with another team they're wanting to take on the production support (not actual coding, but like research and stuff) and they wouldn't even show up to the meeting. Melissa sent a message to the business guy involved with that team when he didn't show up and he said they shouldn't bother scheduling another meeting if nobody's giving him more resources 'cuz he won't come. So that's the half-meeting as they spent some time afterwards talking about what to do about all that. I guess it was less awkward in that he wasn't in the room in person, but his somewhat hostile response was more on the awkward side. Anyway, I'm sure my describing this all sounds like some horrible thing, but it's more just amusing. I do plan to try to smooth things over with the team I'm going to be on so there's no awkwardness. I don't foresee that as a problem though.
