Anniversary

Had a really good anniversary yesterday with Mary Beth. I stopped off on the way from work yesterday on a semi-impulse and picked up some tea and lemonade from the store (heard Arnold Palmer had died the day before, I'd barely had a vague notion of him as a golfer but having your name attached to such a wonderful beverage is quite the legacy I must say!). Mary Beth gifted me Super Mario Maker for the Wii U so I'm pretty damned pumped to play that as I'd been wanting it for a while! We had a laid back but very nice evening together. We ordered pizza and listened to Leslie Gore, The Cars, and Black Sabbath on shuffle. I'd also jammed a song for her on godsjukebox and she reacted far more strongly than I was expecting and it was very touching. She read me a short story, "The Boyish Lover" by Laurie Colwin, which was good. All in all it was a good evening together yesterday.

Sunday Jacques had come over for practice. Apparently the director doesn't really know what dubstep means because what he wants for that one song is not at all dubstep. We tried to work on it some, but it was a bit less inspired than the original one and we didn't get much accomplished. I did re-remix the intro to "Blood of Destruction" since removing the effect wasn't enough and he wanted my original guitar part removed completely. Still have to splice that back in with the rest of the song. Not much else other than that.
