Aug. 1st, 2016 09:47 pmWe finished the classic rock song yesterday. Paul sang some vocals after we wrote the lyrics. I had written half of some lyrics two weeks ago and we collaborated on finishing them. Yeah, now there's this song called "Blood of Destruction." Pretty goofy altogether, but I dunno, kinda awesome in a dumb way. I may even post the lyrics later, pretty goofy shit. Jacques and I also recorded some backing vocals. Then we mixed the song down and it's done and there and shit. We also did a little work on the dubstep thing. Well, we recorded a couple beats off the drum machine to chop up later. The pieces are there. We also did a little work on the rap thing. Paul had this thing he'd done before. He didn't have the full files but I was able to get the pieces and do some surgery to get them together. Anyway, not a lot of work there, but it's a start, we'll add a beat at some point. I got some birthday presents from Jacques: Zazou/Bikaye/Cy1: Noir et Blanc cd and this totally fucking bonkers t-shirt I'm wearing right now... The text is: "OH OH! YOU HAVE BEEN SLOIMED BY GHOST BUSTER" and there's a fucked-up distorted picture of something that may have resembled Slimer to begin with (probably a bad approximation) and the font's some drippy goo font and there's a few splotches to the side. Oh, and I'm reminded of something I forgot last week! (oh oh!) Paul had gotten me Alien on dvd (so that's fucking awesome). Did the work thing today though it's the last day of the PI. Oh, a funny story where Amogh was I guess talking about an idea for the hackathon and it's an app that takes a picture of a famous place (his example was the Eiffel Tower) and then it finds famous people who'd been there and puts them in your picture so you could have (his example) Hitler in your picture. Then he kept talking about it and kept using Hitler as his example so I was finding his uh, focus(?) to be quite the thing. Anyway, after work today Dustin wanted to hang out so after spending some quality time at home with Mary Beth, he picked me up and we went to La Guadalupana and hung out and talked a good bit. I got another birthday present: a Synthrotek Mikrophonie module! I do have to assemble it so I'll probably need to hit up Josh at some point for his soldering iron. But it should be pretty sweet when I get it. Then I'll be able to do Stockhausen covers. Or something.
