Went to maybe the last or one of the last Memphis for Bernie meetings on Sunday. Going over Memphis Forward future strategies (well, very vaguely, really planning for the retreat and talk about what we have to do for Emma's delegate stuff, Nancy the other lady is running against her, so we'll need to do a little bit of work to make sure everyone votes for her).
Monday after work I went up to Rec Room for Carrie's going-away party. When I first got there, people were sitting around the couch area and I was talked into playing just a little bit of Smash Brothers, which I am very terrible at having not really played. I wandered around and played a little bit of Burger Time (always excellent). After that people wanted to go to The Cove and I almost didn't go but ended up going and having a great time. There was more general talking together and being funny. Today was the farewell lunch. We went to Mac's and I was excited to have a hamburger with mac'n'cheese on it, but they overcook their burgers so it was a little disappointing (they could learn something from Burger Time!). Then today ended up not being Carrie's last day. She's going to another company and there's some drama with her current employer who she contractors through (uh, same as me) and her new company is pushing her start date back a week til this dies down and she was about to be not working for a week, but Toby told her she could keep working here in the interim. An upstanding man, him. I got a little nervous for myself yesterday as tomorrow is my anniversary. Mafaz asked me to go to lunch with him so I'm hoping that's a "happy anniversary" celebratory kinda thing. I'm a little nervous it's a "hey your contract's up, thanks so much, goodbye" sorta thing. That kinda doesn't make much sense, but I'm still paranoid about it. I'm making sure right now to back up any personal stuff off this laptop, there's very little actually, but a couple things since my own laptop died not so long ago. What else? Did some phone banking after work today up at Otherlands. We've got the back room (that's kinda like a laundry room with a table) every Tuesday for the next four weeks. There were a couple of us tonight. Hopefully we can get a few more the next couple times. I think that's about it for now.
