Rockin' start to Housecon. We got three games played last night while we were there. Started off with some Splendor. Actually a super-close game. Mary Beth won by getting 15 points but everyone else ended with 14. Then we played Spyfall. One of those games that's all in what you say and what you guess about other people. I didn't do very well. We ended with some Settlers of Catan and I actually won! I was able to get a pretty good hex setup in the beginning and later get the sheep port when I was getting tons of fucking sheep. I came ahead pretty quickly and was there for a while and it was looking like my winning was a no brainer, but towards the end my luck wasn't so lucky as I kept getting a bunch of cards and rolling 7s so I'd be close to doing something and then have it slip through my fingers. So it started getting close at the end, but I managed to squeeze by. Felt pretty good 'cuz this being against Mr. Matt 2nd place in local tournament Dude. Also it was a 4 player game and those can be hard. Not a ton of people were there last night, I'm sure the numbers will increase as we get to more key weekend days. Alright, more gaming ahead!
