Sitting

The guys came over to finish yesterday. Though they didn't finish. They still have blinds to put up in one more room. Told they'd be here at 8, which they were, but they were in other apartments. Said they'll finish up in ours in a few hours. Watched a few movies sitting around. Yesterday morning I watched Return of the Prodigal Son (it was okay) and Black Sun (I enjoyed that one pretty well). This morning I watched Emperor Jones and Shadows in Paradise. They were pretty good, the latter moreso. What else? Oh yeah! Tuesday night Mary Beth and I went to see the Rifftrax of Godzilla (the 98 one). Wow, I mean, I obviously wasn't expecting a good movie from it but it was a far more terrible movie than I could have imagined. And not just Hollywood-bad. It was just grandly incompetent on so many levels. Also the commentary was funnier than I was expecting. This was the first Rifftrax I've gotten a chance to see. I saw a short preview video for this one before seeing the movie and none of it was funny. But the real product was very funny. Okay, I have a cat trying to conquer my arm so I'm done here. Oh no I'm coming back. Somewhere in there, maybe Tuesday afternoon?, I watched Brand upon the Brain. I thought it was really good. Like an old silent melodrama (with sci-fi elements) meets David Lynch kinda.
