Finished Orange Is the New Black with Mary Beth yesterday. I didn't really like the show when we first started watching the first season back when, but I think it improved and I did start enjoying it. We got pizza too, yeah. Afterwards I went to the Brooks to see Visitors. Sure I saw it in Nashville a few months ago, but I felt it's the kinda thing I just gotta support here, and seeing a good movie on a big screen any chance I can get is such a treat. Mary Beth stayed home 'cuz she was not feeling well (though she'd planned on seeing Clue at the Orpheum that night anyway). I enjoyed seeing it the second time, since I knew everything that comes across the screen I didn't have to think or anticipate, I could spend more time just looking and taking it all in. The only downside were these really really old ladies sitting nearby who talked quite a bit. Then you don't wanna shh or say anything 'cuz they're old and seem confused anyway. There was a relatively decent sized crowd, I mean, it wasn't crowded by any means but it wasn't empty either. Maybe 15 to 20 people or so. Not bad considering the movie and the other stuff going on the same night (Clue as I'd mentioned and Rifftrax...fuckin' Sharnado...c'mon...). I think I may have enjoyed the movie more this time. It probably still falls in the same ranking for me (better than Naqoyqatsi but I probably like Powaqqatsi a little better). Later when I got home we watched A Matter of Life and Death. It was enjoyable and there were things I liked about it a lot; overall I probably liked Black Narcissus more. Exercised again this morning. I'm in the midst of going through American films to nominate to the National Film Registry. Dorking out quite a bit. But it's fun.
