Ear

Worked on an online music collaboration yesterday. The PRF Ambient Orchestra is finally making stuff happen. It was an idea started to do in-between sounds for the barbecue fest a couple years ago, then it fell through cause Maruice, the guy who started it, couldn't make it. Well, it still exists on facebook and there'd been some talk of doing something, so we finally did. Maurice started by recording a piece. Sort of like a telephone process where the next person comments takes it and processes and/or edits it. Hench had it next. And I've had it last so far. I ran it out from my laptop through my eurorack. Pretty much my filters and vca matrix with everything else modulating them. I thought what I did was pretty cool, but I'm not sure if anyone else liked it. Oh well. In the midst of this, Mary Beth and I went just down the road to the new restaurant Babalu. The food was really good. Awesome awesome tacos, awesome queso dip (like real fuckin' gooey cheese also pork belly), awesome patatas bravas. Today I went by the audiologist to see about getting stronger attenuators for my earplugs (I actually tried to go by yesterday but they were weirdly not open during business hours). They were there today, unfortunately this is something they'd have to order so there's no way I could get 'em in time for the next Swans show. I guess it'll be good to have in the future anyway. They have to call the manufacturer so I have to wait for a call back anyway. Well, that's it for now.
