I must say, this has been the least stressful end of a semester ever. Worked on my remaining grades gradually through the week (didn't have that much, really). Tested Monday and Tuesday. Then Wednesday and Thursday I just showed a movie. I borrowed 21 from a coworker. I got to watch it six times without ever seeing the end! It was a reasonable success with the kids (and some were WAY into it) and it's very tangentially mathematics-related. Not at all a GOOD movie, but it's fun and somewhat entertaining. Super by-the-numbers, no pun intended. Also while that was going on those days I got work done too. Today was a half day for the kids and we went to all classes for like 25 minutes each. I averaged 4.7 students a class (5, 4, 3, 9, 2, 5...fascinating!). Yesterday the classes were thinning a little. And Wednesday there were way too many kids, heh. But today was nice and breezy. I even got my checkout done during my brief planning period. Then we dismissed at 10:30 and I really didn't even have anything to do! Teachers had a full day, though since I was done I was able to leave early, I left a little after 12. The early start off was good to venture out and get a little Christmas shopping done. Mary Beth and I also tried this Indian place called Curry Bowl. We had good lamb and goat curry, even though the people there seemed confused by the order of "lamb and goat curry" followed by a study of the menu and "ah, lamb and goat curry." Oh yeah, and last night we met Josh and Molly at Three Angels for dinner. That was a rare weeknight treat. We also tried Wiseacre. Well, I say "we." I was there and stuff, but no beer for me of course. I also forgot to mention in my last post that my SantaThing books arrived on Monday (LibraryThing's secret santa thingie): The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins, The Discovery of Heaven by Harry Mulisch, and Les Misérables by Victor Hugo. All tomes. Maybe there'll be a day I can read them!
