Eh...

So work just goes on and on. Definitely some rough ponits this week. Yesterday someone from the district popped in my classroom for a few minutes during first period and my kids were being obnoxious. Today Dr. Hunter started calling all the teachers who have an EOC and a planning period today into his office to check their grade books and contact logs. This went back to something from the faculty meeting Wednesday where he talked to us a LONG time about the number of Fs we're giving. Some teachers are giving lots and lots (well, Fs and Ds). Anyway, I was lucky enough to have my planning period on the first day he's doing this. I had always been up to speed with calling parents for Fs around report card time (although I've never done it for Ds, so I guess it wouldn't matter anyway), but around this time I was overloaded and slacked on it. Well, I have til Monday to get up to speed and I received a LETTER in my box today. I know lots of other teachers got 'em too (including some of the best teachers there) so I'm not too too too worried. But I guess it means I've got a lot of work to do this Sunday. Yesterday, Hallowen, was fun after work. I mean, nothing big, but Mary Beth was into the idea of pumpkins so I went ahead and took out a few minues to carve a pumpkin. I dunno, it was fun. Mine's sloppy and menacing. I brought doughnuts to my fourth period today, because of their Discovery scores. They were very good and well behaved as usual, until a few minutes after those doughnuts. Yikes. I got 'em to calm down though. And they did a good job with their work today. Anyway. I came home feeling just normal but with Horace next to me I passed out for like an hour or two. Damn. Oh yeah, and I got Autechre: L-Event in the mail!
