Just Jacques came over yesterday and we worked on vocals. We redid his vocals on "Histrionics" with a much better mic setup and a different singing approach and we got the verses each in one take! The loud part didn't have many more takes than that either. After that we redid my vocals on "Battle Chant" and this time fucking got 'em! We ended up taping a blanket to the ceiling for the take that made it, 'cuz the room was a bit more reverby than wanted. It was pretty sweet 'cuz just a couple minutes after I nailed it it all came crashing to the floor. So that felt pretty productive. I visited my grandmother again. Then when I came back, went to Huey's with Mary Beth and Jacques. I forgot to mention last time that earlier this week I got The Review of Contemporary Fiction Spring 2013 | Vol. XXXIII, No. 1: Dalkey Archive Annual 4 in the mail. Now I'm being lazy with this extra day.
