So Near

Jacques and Ryan came over yesterday and we worked on recording. We recorded the bass on "Histrionics." We also noticed one section was missing guitar, so we worked on recording, but encountered some problems with matching and ended up doing a little bit of cutting and pasting. Ryan worked on coming up with a part for the song. First he did some drums, but then he moved to guitar. He's gonna work on it some before we record. Afterwards we got some Gus's with Mary Beth. Then we went over to Paul and Shawna's for a game of Cards against Humanity. Shawna's mom was in town and she wanted everyone to hang out so she was there too. Now I have today...

And it rains, sometimes, in the desert
New Mexico, Albuquerque, Santa Fe
Where there's earth and there's sky and they combine in the distance

The water floods the road in the desert
Then it dries from the earth and the air
The landscape supports all in a singularity
Where the earth meets the sky in the distance

[It might be some changes in the future when I try to actually fit it to the song, especially in the penultimate line. We'll see though.]
