Registration was yesterday. Long, long day. I was at work from 8 am to 11 pm. Also, I slept through my alarm for 10 minutes. So, while I wasn't running late, I was running behind schedule. Not quite so much in my comfort zone. I had to work the first shift so I had to be at my post ten minutes early. That's fine, but while driving certain urges were beset upon me. I had a little time when I got in, but I had to rush it. Then the whole of my shift I was feeling pretty sick. I made it through all that but it wasn't pleasant or nothin'. I think I was originally supposed to just stand by a door, but I was put on a sort of spontaneous station in the registration process (which was probably better anyway, something to do). I even had one of my former students assisting me. I was actually the first station people went to when they came in for registration. I checked to see if they were on a list and if they were, I gave them some sheet that has something to do with buses. I guess we have buses now. After that I just kinda hung around. Not having a room, I didn't have that to get ready. Well, the main thing I did was get this new app that I think might be very useful in the class and I was messing around with it and getting the hang of it and all. Hung out in a few teachers' rooms at various times. Technically there's a break between 3 and 5, but they can't stop until the people already in the building are cleared (the middle shift worked the whole way through). I stayed around anyway. It didn't seem like there'd really be enough time to do anything by the time I got home anyhow. Then I got home very late and all that stuff. There were meetings and stuff in the morning today. After that was over the day didn't last too long. A few of us ended up hanging out at Ms. Eklund's place after work. Then Mary Beth and I had a lovely dinner at Iris. It was all damn good and I'm stuffed. Making use of this last bit of time when we can get away with making a reservation on a weekday. Oh, and since the actual test scores from last year are in, our evaluation scores were updated. And remember that whole thing where I was almost fired (fired, really, but then reverted, well, a double reversion of my continuing to be hired)? Well, now my score for last year is a 3. Even though it's all arbitrary anyway, all that shit was for something that wasn't even actually the case anyway because they can't wait for actual scores before the job loss starts. Anyway, I don't even wanna start thinking about all that.
