teacher

so i'm a teacher now...haven't started actually teaching yet but my first in service day was today...

haven't posted in a while, let me try to bring you up to date...well, i got the call from hr the next day after my last post, so that was wednesday and they told me i'd have hr orientation thursday or friday so i picked friday...anyway, then i went to work on thursday and put in my resignation with my last day on saturday...it was pretty weird making everything so final...so began my goodbyes...i got a little emotional, especially when i had to type up my resignation email...then that evening The Family Ghost had a little practice...so on friday i had my hr orientation so i had to call in sick...lot of paperwork there...saturday was my last day of work...actually i got really emotional that day...before the end of the day i filled out an exit questionnaire and i was alone in the conference room and that got me a bit broken up...and the drive home was pretty bad...been doing that job so long it's strange for it to be over...anyway, during Mary Beth's and my walk that evening Ryan saw us while driving by and we set up a date to play Settlers that evening...he gave us birthday presents of Myopic Bookstore t-shirts and that was swell...then yesterday was my day of freedom in between two jobs...Mary Beth and i had brunch at Majestic and i bought pants and stuff...so today i reported for my first day of in service...not a whole lot, found out i'll be teaching geometry as well as algebra i...met my classroom for the first time...i'm pretty excited, seems like it could be fun...still pretty clueless as to what i'm gonna teach, but that's okay...i THINK i'll be getting books and stuff tomorrow...tomorrow is registration day and i'll be on the book crew...anyway...
