book trouble

in the mail yesterday: The Simpsons: the Eleventh Season...last night we went over to Paul and Shawna's housewarming shindig...i'm now obsessed with the soundtrack to Logan's Run...i've been wanting to be a nobel prize groupie again and rush out and get a book by Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio, but i'm sure no local bookstore would have him...then i looked him up online and i'll be fucked if i can even get his shit that way as it's not in print and really expensive (in english anyway, his untranslated stuff isn't so expensive...) i'm sure the prices of these books by someone no one had heard of went straight up after he won the nobel...which is stupid, because obviously anyone who wanted 'em want 'em now 'cuz he won the prize and would also know that that means his shit's going back in print in the very near future...so i guess i'll wait...but last year it was fun to rush out and get a book by Doris Lessing...oh well...
