april fools: The Family Ghost show #20
Apr. 2nd, 2006 02:45 pmour first show at the P&H...my joke about last show could very well be reality...hey, we'll see and i'll get to THAT later...here's what we played:
Army of Skeletons
Like Clockwork
A Series of False Starts
yet untitled new song
The Longest Day of the Year
during "Like Clockwork," i belive though i didn't see it myself, there were some pictures hanging on the wall behind us that fell in the middle of the song...after the show the owner or manager whatever old dude in charge there came up yelling us as we were packing our stuff...all yelling "there were some pictures hanging where are they!?" and we just apologized and said they fell, etc...he kept speaking in an insanely accusatory manner and Jacques said "they just feel" to which he responded "things don't just fall!" like we set out for the purpose of knocking these pictures down (maybe stealing them? who knows what diabolical things are in the hearts of The Family Ghost!?) anyway, the whole thing was THE most ridiculous thing ever...finally some other people told him they saw them just fall off the wall during a song...so i think he finally conceded to saying "don't worry about it"...he told Brad later the pictures had stayed up for a year and there have been bands louder than us...i guess that's a challenge for if we ever play there again ('cuz he was a dick, see...) anyway, what else? a bunch of people were there (for Guacos, of course...) as far as the crowd went we were met with overwhelming waves of indifference...i thought we were pretty fine though...a few equipment problems but we made it through...anyway...
