yesterday we were gonna re-record the bass on "Placeholder" so Josh came over (and after a little bit Jacques too) and we were setting up to record and lo and behold we realized we were wrong and the original bass track actually did sound good so there was no need to re-record...so instantly we were finished with all the recording stuff...now all we have to do is mix-down! (ahem, assuming some unexpected crap doesn't happen out of the blue...) but we tested the Otari tape machine for the first time ever...and after some messing around we were pleased to discover that it does in fact work...hoorah! we didn't get started on the actual mixing down yet 'cuz we could only listen on headphones as we don't have the proper connection crap to output it to the stereo...so as only one could listen at a time it seemed best to wait on that...then i worked today...rescued my tape recorder (and my precious rock'n'roll tape) from a chair sitting outside my grandmother's house afterwards...i've had headaches all day today...i need sleep tonight...
