today i woke-up-suck-in'-a-le-mon

just woke up a little while ago...[yawn] still haven't gone through the "waking up" routine though...sometime after midnight last night i actually did some writing in my novel...i got a couple pages (almost 3) so now it's at almost 7 pages...(college-ruled notebook paper single-spaced...for the record...) and i think i'm on the second chapter now...but i'm not quite sure exactly how long/short would be good for them to be...or quite where they should be stratified...i guess all that will come into place when i write more...(another 3 pages in another 2 months, most likely...though i hope not...) soon i need to start the typing/bit of editing process w/ what i have so far...hrm...that's really all i have to say for now...

events

today was pretty fun...reasonably so...i went over to The Apartment and hung out w/ Jacques...his birthday present had finally come in the mail today so i was able to give it to him (Glenn Branca: Songs '77 - '79...great stuff...) we went and dropped his car off at Firestone to get a tire replaced and then we went over to Dale's...he's this guy that Jacques met through his girlfriend (now former, apparently) that he met while working at the thrift store...he's a pretty cool guy...a bit of an indie hipster actually...i always feel weird 'cuz he'll be talking about these bands i've never even heard of and such...oh well, he's like 4 yrs older or something so he's had more time to like hear stuff than i...and then i'm over here just like "ummm...Sonic Youth..." yea...then we went to retrieve Jacques' car and dropped it off at The Apartment and proceeded to Lastchance...i wasn't able to maintain my no new cds 'til New York pollicy...but i only spent like $6 (Gastr del Sol: Camoufleur...so it was quite worth it, actually...) then we went back to Dale's place, listened to some more records (that was the primary reason of the hanging out...) and went back...Brian called as we were walking in the door and so he said he'd come over...some sitting around and he showed up...then i realized it was far later than i had intended on being out so i went back home...and here i am, back home...
