I got some cds in the mail: Igor Stravinsky: Late Music and Pierre Boulez: Composer Conductor Enigma. They're both the same kind of weird format, where they're these four disc box sets with the first three discs dedicated to the composer in question and the fourth disc a compilation of works by related composers, like influences and contemporaries and such. I'd been wanting to get into Stravinsky's later serialist stuff so anyway, this is it! The annoying thing is that the Stravinsky wasn't on discogs so I had to add it. And it's four discs with over a hundred tracks and with that last disc of different composers that makes it all even more complicated and then I felt impelled to include what credits there were so it took hours to do, but I did it! After work in the afternoon we ran a few errands and went and voted. It's the primary for county-wide offices, so a lot of in-the-weeds stuff, but we figured out enough to go on, I guess, and did the deed. We spent a while outside after dinner into the night and at a point were visited by Peanut for a while. I was done with my water but there was my cup with a little bit on the bottom. She'd periodically sniff into the cup and kinda stick her head in it. Then after a while she just went up to it and knocked it over and started drinking the puddle of water that formed on the table. I guess she was thirsty!
