I worked some on mixing The Memphis Concrète Electroacoustic Chamber Ensemble performance. I recorded the audio from the board for all the sets, so with the acoustic instruments, the board mix is a little off (naturally the instruments that are quieter in the room are louder in the mix and vice versa). I took the audio from the video recording (6 channels so a good bit to play with...it probably records with two mics and then further separates in the software by eq band and such, at least that's my guess, but still it gives me a bit to play with in the mix). Anyway, I'm not done yet, I want to tweak it some more and listen back with fresh ears and all, but so far I'm thinking it sounds really good! And it's so amazing to go back and listen closely to those musicians performing! Damn! Mary Beth and I did a little test to see how well she travels (her leg has been getting better...slowly...she can hop around more but can't really walk-walk yet) so we took a drive down to the river to watch the sunset. We got hit with some pouring rain when we got down there (not that we got out of the car, but still, a lot of rain) and it was kinda neat seeing the sunset through all the water streaming down the windshield. Later at night we watched a good bit of Slings & Arrows.
