I finally got my cds in the mail that I'd ordered right after the Suss show (seven weeks ago!). Not exactly my order, but here's the package and I'll put all the fun details after I list its contents: Suss: Birds & Beasts, Suss: Self-Titled, and The Necks: Travel. So I ordered Birds & Beasts and another album of theirs and then after three weeks of not getting it and not hearing another update after the purchase confirmation, I emailed about it. They got back right away and said they'd contact the warehouse and if it hadn't shipped then they'll ship it then. Okay great so I wait another two weeks and no further word so I emailed again. Then I don't even hear a response for another week so nudge with another follow-up. This time they did get back and apologized and said they had moved warehouses and the order had probably gotten lost in the shuffle. Also one of the albums I'd ordered had gone out of stock. So they refunded the whole payment and sent my order, replacing the out-of-stock one with Self-Titled and also threw in The Necks album. So that's all cool. But then I get it and find out the Self-Titled one was initially pressed with a mistake where one song was missing and they had a thing where they were sending out replacement disks for the people who'd bought it at first with the missing song. So the version I got is the one missing the song. I know it was all free, but man it bugs me that there's a song missing!

Okay, the other thing is that I finished the editing of the movie audio! Yay! But then it comes time to add the audio back into the movie and what I thought should be at least kinda straightforward has become a pain. At first I tried to add the tracks back into the movie together as separate tracks but that wasn't working right at all (it would render a ten hour video where the movie repeated six times each time with just one of the audio tracks). Then I figured out I can render a six-channel wav file in reaper! Okay so I set that up and do it and it works, but when I play back the movie the audio tracks aren't going to the correct channels (the big tell is that the track with the dialog should be the Center channel...but it kept coming out in either the Left or the Right speaker depending on how I routed things). So this is still where I'm at. I haven't figured out either A) the correct order the channels need to be rendered in or B) how to get the software playing it back to recognize the order the channels are in. I've made three rendering attempts so far. But I calculated the permutations of possible routing setups and it's 720 so I don't want to just brute force this! (Though there are only 6 possibilities for Center ending up in the Center...still, it'd be weird if the other right-left combos are mixed up and if anything goes to the Low-Frequency channel that shouldn't.) Anyway, this all kept me up at night so I got to sleep way too late. It also partly my right ear was feeling blocked up yesterday and bugging me. Still is. I tried to go to bed on time but couldn't sleep so I got back up and messed with that crap. Anyway.
