In the afternoon, I finished reading Drive Your Plow over the Bones of the Dead by Olga Tokarczuk and it was pretty good. Then at night it was the show at the Lamplighter. Our last MC show before the festival. Got there early while the touring group Slow Slow Loris set up. They were nice, talked to them a some. For the show, Pas moi was first and they put on a good set though short (had some Last Temptation of Christ samples for the whole easter vibe). Then Panic Signals played and Josh was good as always. Slow Slow Loris was incredible. Their last song had some big Diamanda Galás soundings. (Maybe all their stuff, I especially picked it up then.) They were really good and really intense live. I knew they would be and even before they played, I picked up the cds they had for sale: Slow Slow Loris: Hiding from Ghosts (a ten-year-anniversary "best of" comp) and Slow Slow Loris: Of Heroes in Helium. W1ND0W played last. Julia was accompanying on guitar and they had a great set, up there as one of the best I'd seen from 'em. Now I'm awake on a Monday. This might be the first day of the season I'm not feeling like wearing sweatpants, etc. I guess spring might really be coming here.
