Package Talk

Got a package on my doorstep late last night. It was a thing of overly complicated confusions. So this damn package I ordered weeks ago, like three weeks before our trip but it waited like two weeks before even shipping. So naturally it arrived right after we'd left town. I knew it was going to be there on Friday and it wasn't going through the post office so our mail hold wouldn't matter. I had gotten Jacques to check in on it so all was fine. On Friday our neighbor texted me saying there was a package, but I knew it was there and would be taken care of so I didn't think much of that. But then Jacques texts me days later saying he never saw any packages for us. So I have to go back to my neighbor to see if she had picked it up. She did so all ended up fine and it was dropped off last night. It was mostly for my shaving cream (which was completely out since it took so long for the new one to arrive and when I shaved right before we left I was trying to scrape as much from the tube as possible!) and a couple cds thrown in for free shipping: Xmal Deutschland: Early Singles 1981-1982 and Scott Walker: Tilt. Always try to avoid amazon as much as possible and I think that shaving cream is about the last thing I'd still ordered from there (which is maybe a once a year purchase). So I'm probably going to try to move that to get somewhere else as well as just completely avoid amazon (even more than I already do). I'd placed the order before the fucking WaPo non-endorsement so that clinched the deal even more for going forward.
