I went over to my parents' to give Jason his birthday present (yeah, he frickin' turned 18 a little bit ago!). Not sure if I mentioned it, but a few weeks ago I bought Jack's electronic drum set from him. He moved out of town and wanted to unload them first and I thought the timing was good and they'd be a good present for Jason. So when he came over a few weeks ago, he was dropping that off. So before heading over, I went by Memphis Drum Shop to also pick up some sticks. So yeah, over to parents' and hang out for a while. They're trying to get my mom on hospice as they've stopped her cancer treatments. They're currently blocked on it because she's still on dialysis, but they're trying to get that reviewed because it's not for her cancer. When she first came out, moving off her scooter onto the chair, she seemed in pretty bad shape, very difficult moving. After sitting around for awhile she seemed more comfortable and in better spirits. I didn't see a lot of Jason. He was away when I came over. He has some friend from Denmark in town visiting. But he did briefly swing by to get something and I was able to show him the present. His face seemed to light up when he saw it so hopefully he likes it. Anyway, stayed around a while. Not much else going on anyway.
