Blues in the Night

At night we went out to see a play at Hattiloo called Blues in the Night. It's a musical and had a live band playing in the arcade built into the back of the set. It was a bit of a marvel of live sound mic'ing the singers (three women and one man), mostly in no more than negligees for most of it. It didn't really have its own script, just a string of blues and jazz songs and the setting (an old "cheap hotel"...the women are showgirls, etc.) and the women are each in their own room indicated by a different platform level on the stage. Then I had some things go down with my stomach at night! But I'm feeling better now.
