I got the rest of my SantaThing books in the mail yesterday: I Hope This Finds You Well by Kate Baer and Veronika Decides to Die by Paulo Coelho. I recorded a little bit of music yesterday evening. Then at night Mary Beth and I went out to a show at the Lamplighter. First CEL SHADE played and she was good (a more dancy/rockin' show than earlier in the week, but you know, still very much her stuff). Next it was Etta Havoc and they were the same wacky brand of fusion as when I saw 'em before. They've got some good stuff and moments but they can be overly busy and zany. At times they're like Memphis's version of Phish. General Labor was last and they were good as always (and they had some sort of equipment failure and stopping as always, though this time it was minimal and brief!). Anyway, it was a good and fun show. It seems like that neck pain that I'd had is starting to creep back some. Not as bad yet and it's weirdly moved to the other side of my neck. It started creeping in a few days ago. Hopefully it doesn't get too bad and goes away on its own, but it's pretty annoying nonetheless.
