Work was pretty dead yesterday (surprise!) and I was about the only one around. I watched Uncut Gems and enjoyed it. Unsurprisingly it's a very similar feeling to Good Time (there are differences, it's not so escalating cringing and tension, and there's more levity and, while the main protagonist is unlikable and continually makes very very bad decisions, he's not quite so unlikable as in the previous movie, you can clearly see the addiction part of the gambling addiction driving him so there is a twinge of sympathy in that). In the afternoon Mary Beth and I went on a couple of walks. We walked around the neighborhood again, then we went over to the Park and walked around the old forest (then looked at some amazing, ember-like clouds formed from a brilliant sunset while sitting at a picnic table in the greensward). Later we ate some cheese and watched Kids in the Hall.
