Just some stuff

Yesterday was the first full day without Trudy. It's been really hard, but I know it's even harder for Mary Beth. But we made it through the ordinary parts of the day. We did our Fresh Market grocery run during my lunch break. I got a cd in the mail: Nashville Ambient Ensemble: Light and Space. Josh messaged me with updates about the ARP Avatar repair. After finally getting the part in the mail, he replaced it and it immediately burst into smoke, so it was a good thing it came in a pair of two (redundant? whatever). He knew there had to be a short somewhere else and he found it and replaced a capacitor. Then it was working and he sent me a short video of it making sounds! So that's something. I brought out my guitar with the special pickup for it to dust it off since it hadn't been used in FOREVER (the cable had broken long before the synth itself stopped powering on, even). Then I notice that the paint is flaking off and whenever you hold it, little bits of black paint come off on you. So that's a bit annoying. At least I don't plan to use the guitar for the live score, just the synth with the sequencer. For much of the day yesterday I was feeling a bit sick and had diarrhea (I think I had eaten part of a bad orange the day before) and then at night I even vomited, which I can't even remember the last time that was. I'd at least been so exhausted from lack of sleep the past few nights that when I did get to bed I passed out pretty deep.
