Trudy's condition continued to stay and we were getting worried about what to do about some things over more time, so we called the vet again and came in in the afternoon. Mostly we thought we could get some advice on how to get her to poop and other kinds of things. Her bloodwork results were back. The vet recommended a more aggressive antibiotic treatment that would require an iv and she'd have to stay there for it. If it's not that, then exactly what it is would have to be determined by an MRI/CAT scan and then the treatment would require a very invasive surgery that would leave her quality of life in a bad place anyway. They took her off to get weighed and stuff and we thought we'd at least see her in the room again but we didn't. So we're home in a house without Trudy now. And it's possible she will never come home again. Hoping the treatment does work. We were a bit in a shock when we didn't get to see her after they took her in the back. It's been a hard past few days. It was very hard to get to sleep last night.
And then other things to report that happened yesterday. We had a call with the Crosstown Theater yesterday about the technical needs for the live score and that went pretty easily, I guess. Mary Beth and I did our grocery shopping (almost right after getting back from the vet, we ate first, but still, pretty rough going out in public, at least it was a relatively quick trip). I managed to get my mom on the phone. We talked and she seems okay. She did fall and break her arm earlier yesterday but she's got a cast and it's not a bad break at least as far as breaks go. I swung by Jacques's to borrow his Halloween III dvd as he has a version with the trailer which I plan to rip and edit for Crosstown Arts to show as a preview. I don't guess there's much else for now.
