Since yesterday mostly just taking shifts with Mary Beth sitting with Trudy, feeding her when needed, trying to help her go to the bathroom when you think she might need to (not that you can really tell when she needs to or do a whole lot to help her), she still hasn't pooped since all this began. She's been eating well though. We got her into a little box to be near the bed when we slept (which wasn't easy, sleeping wasn't easy).

The bright moment in all this was I got to get out for a couple hours last night to see a show. Steve Shelley played at DKDC with local musicians. First it was Kyle of Fuck in some other newer band of his, think I've seen it before, kind of novelty songs. Then it was just him and Tim of Fuck (and also remember Steve is playing drums through all of it) doing a bit of a Fuck set. Then a few local musicians (including Meredith of Nots) did a short Sonic Youth set with Steve. They played "Teen Age Riot" and "Sugar Kane" and it was pretty awesome. It's been fourteen years since I've seen Steve play SY songs in person! Then it was kind of a Clears set with Alicja and others (mostly at first doing a few of her songs). Keith from Optic Sink was also in this configuration (there was also a trumpet player joining them). Then they were joined by Lorette Velvette and Melissa Dunn who sang backing vocals on Washing Machine and they played "Little Trouble Girl"! (Pretty sure that's one SY I'd never seen played live.) So that was super awesome and special. And they closed with The Clears' "Rock 'n Roll Band" with the lyrics (the Shel Silverstein poem) on a painting up on the wall right next to them. Anyway, good show. I was happy to have found a place to sit at the crowded DKDC but it all went smooth. And I saw Steve Shelley! Lots of old hardcore nerd memories.

I worked on the Memphis Concrète poster yesterday but I feel it's too crowded so I might make a larger version and have two version and this one with a little less info? I don't know, it's been weird working on it with all that's been going on yesterday. Hopefully I can finish that shit today. Also it's Mother's Day but I never heard back from my dad if anything's going on so I don't know.
