ateolfIt's been a very stressful morning today. Woke up to find Trudy not moving on the living room floor. She wasn't responding or anything at all at first and I started to freak out but she responded when I touched her. I went and fed her and when she tried to get up to eat I could see her head was leaning to the side and she couldn't walk as she kept leaning her body to the side and falling over. I helped her to eat a little bit, then called the vet and we took her up there shortly after that. They're running tests, the most obvious things (primarily ear infection) didn't seem to come up so they're not sure yet, but they've run some tests and given us some medicine. We're back home and keeping an eye on her. She can't do too much other than lie on the floor and sometimes spin around in a circle, seeming like she's trying to reach her back. We'll know in a few more days. It's possible that this could be something that clears up in a couple days and she's back to normal but not sure yet.
What else? I was going to go to a show last night, really wanted to see The Veldt but then I found out it was a five-band bill that didn't start til 9 so, even though I wanted to check out the locals (who I know and have new bands and all) altogether it just felt too daunting, especially as there was stuff to do today. I did stay in and work on the Halloween III score and made some good progress so it was probably for the best. Then, of course, I woke up to Trudy's not walking and all that. We were going to go to this Brazil Day thing up at Crosstown and Otávio was playing with the Iris Collective right about now, but not up for it and staying and keeping an eye on Trudy for the time being.
