After just a little over a day of wracked nerves, something very exciting for Memphis Concrète started to come together yesterday so very excited over that. In other news, I fired up my ARP Avatar finally and verified that it is not working. It doesn't power on. I figure there's something broken with the power supply. I'd left it plugged in for a while not thinking about it because it wasn't powering on and all that and I came back a good while later and the back of it was hot. Maybe this is something that's replaceable? I don't know. Using it for this live score won't be essential, was really kinda just going to bring it on for a one-trick-pony sort of thing and in the spirit of it being a synth that John Carpenter did use extensively on this soundtrack (which would make it a VERY cool one-trick-pony, granted). Last night Mary Beth and I went up to Kroger to our groceries. Had one of those mildly insomniac nights last night, but anyway I got there just took a little longer than usual.
