Yesterday afternoon Mary Beth and I went down to the Cannon Center to see a ballet adaptation of Their Eyes Were Watching God. They also had two shorter ballet pieces first. The only downside was this girl (probably a teenager) sat down next to me and she smelled pretty bad (and strongly). I don't know exactly what it was; it was kind of a musty smell (ironically sort of like the homes of older people). I settled on thinking it was some sort of hairspray. As at went on, at least, it either dissipated or I got used to it more. The dancing was good. And the set design for the main event was pretty exceptional (minimalist in a starkly vibrant sort of way). Afterwards we walked down Main St. and hit The Peanut Shoppe to get some of those tasty honey/pistachio/filo treats. That's about it for now.
