I finished reading Confessions of Zeno by Italo Svevo yesterday afternoon. It was okay. I started off liking it quite a bit, enjoying the impulsive delusions of the narrator but it was way too long for what it contained. It was a little bit tedious throughout most of it and the prose was pretty workaday. There were good things throughout, and what I liked in the beginning was there throughout, but ends up being stretched a little thin. It did wrap up with a very good ending though (sort of presaging the atomic bomb). Anyway, also yesterday I worked on extracting the audio for Halloween III and setting up volume envelopes in Reaper to strip out the music and leave the dialogue. I imagine when we do it for real it will be with a blu ray, but if I can get my hands on that then I should be able to do the same and extract that audio and the envelope will still hold and I can stitch that audio back with the higher quality movie. That's my plan now anyway. I'm about a third of the way through my envelopeing process, which is just listening to the sound and bringing the volume down where necessary. Then at night I went and did our Kroger grocery shopping solo as Mary Beth is sick now. I'm slower at it but it wasn't so bad.
