Good Thursday

Last night I went to an awesome show up at the Lamplighter. First it was Paul Maceri (I'm thinking this was your first post-Ihcilon show, is that right?) and he was great as always. Then it was Dinosauria and he was also great as also always. Last it was Bellysauce Ensemble from Nashville. This was their first show as an ensemble, it had previously just been Bellysauce and Ryan plays tuba with electronics. This show, given the travel situation, he brought and played a euphonium instead. Also in addition was a guitarist and a drummer. Their music reminded me a bit of Tortoise. They closed with a cover of Low's cover of "Transmission" (with a dedication to Mimi and the band). Anyway, real fun show! Oh yeah! And I almost forgot that Ryan gave out a couple of cds from his previous music project: Chimarra: Boundaries and Chimarra: Apheredin. And Paul also gave me a copy of his tape with Viviankrist!
