Mary Beth and I went out and ran some errands yesterday afternoon. I picked up some flex glue from the hardware store so when we came back I was able to glop it onto the tape machine's wheel. So, I thought I'd take the whole wheel off like in the video as maybe I'd be less likely to get glue on other shit and that kind of thing, but it was hard to get off, I had it detached but it was still stuck under the faceplate and I couldn't get that off. Anyway, it's also hard to move around with lots of wires tightly stretched a short distance and I ended up breaking a couple wires. I think they go to the headphone jack, it seems like the machine will still function, but maybe the jack won't work. Not really sure til I try it out again. I ended up just putting the glue on the wheel while still attached. I used so little it wasn't a problem, just wish I didn't go through all the rigmarole of breaking wires to end up with the same result (minus the intact wires)! I've let it dry overnight (probably much longer than necessary). Now I'll need to get rid of the excess glue (like I said, I used the tiniest amount and it was hard not to make an excessive glop of it). I also got sandpaper at the store but I'll probably need to use a knife or something first. We'll see when I get to it. At night Mary Beth and I watched some Simpsons while eating nachos. That's my update!
