I got these new shoes in the mail for walking yesterday and I guess I'm discovering more of the root cause of the pains in my right foot. This new left shoe fit perfectly but the new right shoe was way too tight, so it seems like my right foot has changed size and shoes haven't been fitting it quite right lately (and maybe these shoes were just a little smaller to be able to tell more readily that it's different). It doesn't seem longer, maybe wider? Not sure if my flat-out shoe size is affected or just the width? Anyway, I guess I've gotta figure that out. I did a quick errand to the guitar store and picked up some picks and a couple cables. Exciting stuff (just hope I don't once again just lose the whole bag of picks I got in defense of losing them individually...). Got a letter from the landlord that the rent is going up again. And a relatively big jump (by a little bit at least). So with insurance having gone up and my pay raise last year being paltry, it sucks (it should be coming up soon and hopefully it isn't so paltry, but even if not it'd just be catching up instead of continually losing). Anyway, in the afternoon Mary Beth and I went up to the Brooks to see the exhibit of local Scholastic award winners. A lot of good stuff. On the opposite end of things, there was an a small exhibit of sculptures from senior citizens (quite a few whales). At night we ordered pizza and watched Kids in the Hall and it was good.
