I finished reading The Women at the Pump by Knut Hamsun yesterday. While not as earth-shatteringly great as Hunger, it was very well-written with a very unique style and was a good book (it is such a shame that Knut was so terrible as a person that it makes it hard to even admit liking him! which is maybe why it took so long to read a second book of his maybe?). Last night I watched the rest of that disc of avant garde shorts; films by: Hans Richter, Marcel Duchamp, Fernand Léger, Viking Eggeling, Jean Painlevé, and Orson Welles & William Vance. Then I watched another episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
