Yesterday had kind of a horrible sheen to it. We went grocery shopping for the first time in a month. And we were shopping to go for another month. This time, though, it was more planned than last time and I think it also coincided with needing to replenish stock supplies than had dwindled out. We went in the morning, I stepped away from work for a little bit. Anyway, it was much more crowded in the store than we'd anticipated for that time of day and the whole thing took way longer than we'd anticipated as well. We filled up two carts that filled up our car and we had to make a second trip. It was unpleasant and breakdowns were had and we'll probably never do it like that again. It was the first time I'd worn a face mask in public (I mean, I really hadn't been out in public in a month). It took me a while to figure out how to wear it without having it ride up into my eyeballs. Anyway, we got back much later than expected and because I was gone so long I just had to skip my lunch break and eat while working. Then I had a task to do in production for this issue that I discovered and the cr had opened so I was going to do it and then verify. Well, I did it and then I couldn't see the updated data. So I'm trying to figure out what's wrong and annoyed and maybe slightly verging on panic, probably not quite that more like stressed out. But I finally figured it out and of course it was something simple and dumb so I ran it again and then worked. But finally that and this other thing I was working on at the same time were done. Blugh. At night Mary Beth and I tried to relax and we watched a little Stephen Universe. Then we watched 24 Frames. It was good and I enjoyed it and it was a little different than I expected (insofar as it fits within the basic premise). It was much more "dramatic" than I'd expected. This is mostly accomplished through animals (mostly animals) interacting within the "frames." The bonus is that this is the first time I've seen Trudy respond to a movie. It was, I think, in Frame 12 that she came into the room. This and a lot of frames feature birds. This is the one where it has a larger silhouette of a bird behind a curtain in front of a window and then there are some more birds in the background walking around. So she's hearing the bird sounds and seeing the birds moving around on the screen and she's all getting into watching it and going up to the tv and looking around and trying to see if she can get up in there. Horace had reacted to the cat sounds in Kuroneko that time but other than that hadn't seen our cats react to movies. And she stayed pretty into it, through most of the rest of the movie. And she was energetic afterwards so I played with her for fifteen seconds (which is about her current limit of interest in playing). Anyway, fun to enjoy a movie with the whole family!
