Century Man

Mary Beth and I had a pretty relaxed evening. We just stayed in and watched the Scott Walker: 30 Century Man documentary. It was enjoyable and cool to see so much studio footage and I was surprised he was in it and so talkative and forthcoming and all.

Oof, yeah. At least right now he is NOT governor!

Haha, indeed. Sadly "we" (not me!) just elected the conservative candidate to the state supreme court in the most recent state election.

At least we finally have a lesbian mayor LOL.

Anwyays, that's really rad. I really don't know much about the artist except he exists and is admired by a lot of people I respect, I suppose I should really dig in more.

Was this on a streaming service? Curious where I can catch it.

It's on Amazon Prime. I didn't like him at all for the longest time (except for the Pola X soundtrack which is instrumental). I liked the music (at least from the 90s on) but I couldn't get behind the singing. I started to come around within the last few years (coinciding with my kneejerk aversion to opera singing, which I'm sure is related). He had a strange career going from pop icon in the 60s to dark, experimental minimalism over the past four decades or so.
