back in...something something...
May. 24th, 2001 01:24 pmtuesday:
went to work...that was pretty good...for about 3 hrs and 45 min i made just under $50...and a cool story: i went to J Wags and "made a delivery"...while i was at J Wags i made $5.50 for my "making a delivery"...heheh...(J Wags is a sleazy gay bar...that's the comedy, i say...) afterwards i went over to The Apartment and hung out w/ Jacques and Amber...ummm...we sat around and stuff...i think we might've done something but i can't remember right now...oh no we didn't...i went back to work but i was put on call so i went back to The Apartment and sat around some more...oh wait! i remember what we did earlier...i had brought over Blank Generation and we watched that...then i sat around 'til 1 and called back and they didn't need me...as tends to happen...i went on cdnow and finally ordered something for the credit i had from ordering something they ended up not having (first it was Sonic Youth's single for "Nevermind (What Was It Anyway?)" which ended up never being released...then later i ordered a Wire cd that they ended up not being able to get...) i got Mogwai's Young Team and the amount it cost was exactly the amount of credit i had...so all was perfect and it is now on my way to me...finally...then i sat around typing in fake domain names to see if they exist...but mostly just 'cuz it's funny to look at 'em...that night i kept a homosexual theme, here are the ones i remember: www.queerslammer.com, www.hobosexual.com, www.hobobuttslammer.com, www.sperminmybutt.com...oh yea, there was a hobo theme too...there were more but i think that was the crème de la crème, i think...yes...i already know how extremely pathetic i am...Jacques found it extremely funny too, so at least i'm in good company...or something...then i went home and to sleep...
yesterday:
i went to Consignment to get the Big Muff that David said was there, but they said it'd been sold...bollox! then i went to the DAV (thrift store) to get this phone they had last time i was there that's like the coolest phone ever...but it was gone...bollox! then i went by Lastchance to check up on if they were able to get the Pop Group stuff...but she hadn't been able to check it yet or something...then i looked around and made the following purchases: John Coltrane: Expression ($11) and Elvis Costello & the Attractions: Armed Forced ($10)...VERY rad as all the Ryko reiusses have just gone out of print...though this isn't the Ryko issue, it's the English version on Demon Records...although it's the exact same as Ryko's reissue...so that was quite rökken...then i went back to The Apartment...more hangin' w/ Jacques and Amber...i drug them to some pawn shops...(i had also stopped by a few right after consignment, to no avail...) we went to the one nearby on Poplar...and they had one of the coolest guitars ever!!! i don't know what brand it is...but it's all wood-grained and it has a mirror pick-guard...and old-style button switches (it's hard to describe...but the kind of switch that's like a seesaw i guess...that's the best way i can describe w/out being too horribly tedious...but it doesn't matter...the guitar just looks really really cool...trust me...) also one of the tuning pegs was REALLY bent so i tried unbending it but i just broke it off and it flew across the store...oops...then i asked 'em to play it, and i played it...and it sounds nice too...the action's a little high, but not very...and such are the prices one must pay for a cool looking guitar! (the highest priority) so i put it on layaway...and it's only fucking $80...i put down $25 at first...just thought i'd go a little easy on my finances...i'll need to get the tuning pegs fixed, but i had the [not the tuning pegs but the things that the pegs turn and the strings wrap around things] fall out on one of my other guitars...two of 'em...so that has to be fixed too anyways...then we went to the Happy Hocker...and what did i find there but a broken cymbal for $1.50!!! fucking sweet! and it sound very rad as well...
back to The Apartment...we decided we'd go to Black Lodge...then Justin called...he came over and we went w/ him...there we got the other Get a Life video (it has the one where he becomes a male model and the one where he tries to become a role model for the young "roughians"...), some mostly lame anime porn thing, and Death Race 2000 (i think that's the title...it has Sylvester Stalone...we didn't end up watching it yet though...) we watched Get a Life (ruling, of course) and then the anime thing...then we decided to play Pop Up Video (it's a board game...) we ended up playing that for several hours...it was much fun...then Justin and i went home, it being very late and such...
also there's a ring modulator and a Big Muff that i think think i'm gonna be getting off of ebay...it's gonna kick ass, yo...
