There was some dumb food network contest running through Memphis, but it did bring awesome food trucks in the city for a weekend. Mary Beth and I checked out this one that does Korean barbecue that was just down the street. Even though it was raining there was quite a line down the street. They were doing a typical contest thingie where all the contestants had to work on a theme (vegetarian, today), but our Korean barbecue tacos were good with tofu and the kimchi quesadillas were good too. I even got a free t-shirt for the company (Korilla, the shirt just says "I [their tiger logo] NY"). Today was the last day of class. The next two days are exams. So I guess it's mostly over with. I had been worried about my failure rate, but I realized I had made a mistake and was accounting for the EOC grades twice and the third 9-weeks grade not at all. So after fixing that it doesn't seem too bad. I had something of an embarassing moment at work. Some student came by to pick up the lcd projector so I boxed it and sent it off. Right after I took a few other things down to the library and the librarian said she hadn't gotten my projector. So I'd sent some student off whose name I don't know but whose face I recognize off with this expensive equipment and it just disappeared. Well I go to see Mr. Booth about looking on the surveilance system and that's not working today. I look around with the police officer but don't see anything. He brought me last year's yearbook so I could point out the student, but just then he showed back at my door with the projector. He'd had some bit of confusion that didn't make any sense, I don't know why he didn't bring it downstairs. Anyway all was good, I just had to announce my incompetence to an administrator and a few other people. A nice combination of relief and regret. But if something had happened, I'd rather have acted immediately than waited. Anyway.
