we got our new schedules today (we just had a mandantory shift bid with all the layoffs)...i'm keeping my schedule which is nice...and when the new schedules take effect Mary Beth and i will almost have the exact same schedule, except she'll be 30 minutes behind me...she wanted a 10 hour schedule, but the one she got was at least her first 8 hour choice (fourth choice overall) and with how many schedules were just absolute crap they were giving us it's nice she wasn't just screwed...so anyway...

i'm just happy they completely destroyed the shit schedule i had for over a year there when i first started, the godless shift of 1 to midnight working both friday and saturday nights. i think the weekend was wednesday thursday and sunday. worst crap ever, and no shift differential. "lunch" was at like 6 or 7 pm, and i worked it in the dead of winter so it'd be pitch black outside. aaaaugh.

as long as i've been there i've always gotten my first choice of schedule...of course the schedule i like isn't very popular as people tend towards either early or late and don't understand the beauty of the middle...also when i started was before the center was open on weekends, so there wasn't that added dimension of scheduled suckiness to contend against...the only time i haven't had my current schedule was when they did away with it for a little while...at least i got my first choice of what they offered...it was towards the beginning of their making 10 hour shifts and i had friday saturday and sunday off...(they don't have THAT anymore...) when they got rid of it they brought my old schedule back, etc....and there you have the long, detailed, and very boring history of my schedules at relay!

it doesn't matter anyway--they started the 3rd wave yesterday. chelsea and rodney and others got their letters. and they gave a bunch of sups letters, too. pretty freaky.
