no internet at home...Dustin moved out and we haven't set it up ourselves yet...at coffee shop using free wireless...let's see...work's done the rare and offered quite a lot of overtime so i've been workin' it and will hopefully get a lot of money next paycheck (along with the holiday too)...i can't remember anything happening...today i went to this marriage of a coworker that Mary Beth was invited to...it was out in covington...which is far away...and we got lost along the way and were half an hour late...luckily the preacher was even later so it was a good thing after all...then the reception was at putt-putt and we played some miniature golf and it was some good times...between the wedding and reception we had some free time and we went to an antique store and i got a book: The Cannibal by John Hawkes...in the mail yesterday a cd: LSD-March: Suddenly, like Flames...

books i've finished since i last updated: tuesday 06/26: The Unnamable by Samuel Beckett, tuesday 07/03: Watership Down by Richard Adams, wednesday 07/04: Hidden Camera by Zoran Živković...

oh yeah...and last week i got stuck guruing and that was lame...and yesterday i got a talking-to about reading on calls and that was lame...anyway, i don't think i'm able to remember anything else...

Have you used Librarything.com? I'm debating paying the $25 for a lifetime membership, but think i may just. 200 is the free-cap, but that just scratches the surface. Whadyathink?

or www.shelfari.com ? Watership down was one of my favorite books as a kid- have you read any of the Redwall books by Brian Jacques?

robert and i both have lifetime memberships. worth every penny. one of the things i've been missing most being sans internet has been enabling my lt addiction. i even bought a cue cat scanner from them to scan my books. le sigh.

we're leaving for chicago midmorning thursday. call me! i need your guidance about places to go. Robert's fixated on hot doug's, but other than that, who knows? we're staying way out in skokie though, like last time. the lincoln park motel is always full...

librarything is totally awesome! actually, i think it's somewhat responsible for my book binging in the last few years...gotta make my library bigger and bigger even if i can't keep up with reading so many books!

there's also goodreads.com but it doesn't come close to librarything, it has more of a networking/"social" angle...never heard of shelfari...

just looked up the shelfari, seems a bit lightweight...$25 isn't a lot for a lifetime and librarything's worth it for the sheer nerdy possibilities...
