ateolf | The Family Ghost show #22: Murphy's april 22nd 2006

first i'll start off with the mundane...i did take my car to get the tire replaced as well as realigned...lame...finally after that we practiced much later than we had anticipated but that was alright...so i guess off to murphy's after that...first Organ Thief played, then us, then Simon, then Black Eyes and Neckties...i think i've alredy mentioned the first two bands we've played with in the past so i'll refrain from doing so again...as for The Family Ghost, we played:

it was really one of the better shows we played..."Taken" was super ballstompingly badass, and then even though the rest of our songs are wussy we even made them "rock" as hard as possible...plus there were hardly any fuckups and between song pauses were almost nonexistent...and even crazier, there was actual audience response! (as in people we don't know...and not just a negative response, which would have been fine too, but a positive response!) then as the night wore on i was getting more tired and more sick...the last band was okay (better than their online recordings) lots of jumping around...rock'n'roll horrorpunk...by this point i was pretty out of it though...after the show Jacques, Amber, and Jason and i went to perkins (it was the second perkins excursion for all of us except for Jason in two days!) i managed to stay awake long enough to eat, but just barely...once again i woke up without nearly enough sleep...i could even still feel the effects of the nyquil (my lip was numb) but i was getting stuffy again and just couldn't get back to sleep...of course as soon as i'm awake i don't feel so stopped up anymore...well, i guess at least not sleeping so long will help me get to bed on time tonight...anyway, the show was totally awesome...that's all...self-congratulation!
