yesterday i finished the 14th disc (having watched them all in order) of my Monty Python box set...that was a lot of Monty Python...i forget when i got it, at least a month ago...but i guess that stands as an accomplishment on some skewed level...then later i went and hung out at Jacques/Amber's...we watched Deep Red...i used to think i had seen it and didn't like it...but then a few weeks ago we watched Tenebre which i though i HADN'T seen, but it turned out i had seen Tenebre but the scenes from it were filed in my memory under "Deep Red"...then looking up Deep Red i came to suspect i hadn't seen it at all...so we watched it and i hadn't seen it before and it is in fact very very good...one thing that roused my suspicions a few months ago was when i got the soundtrack to it and it didn't sound so familiar...(the soundtrack to Tenebre was the one thing about the movie i thought was GREAT...my first jumping point of getting into Goblin...) of course, both soundtracks are Goblin (technically Tenebre isn't Goblin since the drummer had left, but it's still the rest of the band) so there's some similiarity in sound and it had been years since i had seen it so i figured my memory had gotten fuzzy...but anyway, yeah...now my perspective on Argento is set a little more straight...Tenebre: not so good...Suspiria: of course was amazing (which surprised me 'cuz i wrote Argento off after seeing Tenebre, which i was thinking was Deep Red...) and now Deep Red: not quite so great as Suspiria but still great...well, i guess that's enough of my oh so very interesting movie critique...

in other news, once again: The Family Ghost has a show tonight (sunday) at the Rally Point...not sure of the exact time...we'll probably try to push it to be a bit earlier...maybe 8:30 or so...if you're actually curious give me a comment and i may have a better idea by that time...
