well, it's been a dern long time since i've posted...i guess i'll do a brief recap of this past week+...

last thursday overtime was offered and i took it...then i got home to find my computer wouldn't start...only in safe mode...after trying some crap it was decided windows needed to be reinstalled (again)...it was the same problem that happened months ago...but a few days later Tim did it and it worked again..though i must say i haven't been bothered with the computer too much as of late anyhow...

last friday night after work i went to Target...i got Donkey Konga (with the DK Bongos of course) for the GameCube and an AC/DC shirt...fuckin' awesome...

saturday The Family Ghost practiced, worked some more on recording...still don't quite have a finished version of anything yet, but we're honing in, methinks...then that night i went over to Jacques/Amber's and brought some toys of my own for a GameCube party...i brought my own DK Bongos so we had great Donkey Konga multiplayer action!!! some cool dude had also gotten Amber The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure for her birthday (along with 2 Game Boy link cables) and i brought over my 2 Game Boys and Game Boy link cables and along with her and Jacques's 2 Game Boys we had 4 PLAYER Zelda action!!! it was totally fuckin' awesome!!!

sunday...laundry...the dogs...typical sunday...

monday i started my new schedule (as well as my insane overtime...) i worked from 9 to midnight monday, tuesday, and thursday...9 to 8 on wednesday (my new regular schedule...) it wasn't too bad...i read a lot...and it was a lot less busy than it's been lately...the biggest problem, i think, was due to adjusting to a new schedule, having to wake up earlier, so my sleep wasn't quite right, making me tired from the start...monday's tiredness wasn't that bad though...tuesday was the worst...there was a slump in the middle where i had that everything-looks-and-feels-like-a-dream tiredness going on...that was kinda sucky but i managed...wednesday, while checking my bank statement, i saw the check for that short story submission contest had cleared...it's (well, both, but "Story," i think eclipses the other immensely...i guess i merely included it as a formality...does "two heads are better than one" apply?) now in a pile ready for judgement sometime in the next month and a half...the thought makes me nervous but at least i don't have the idle worry of some random mail-related tragedy anymore...now thursday night, at the late hour my long weekend began, i discovered a major major major problem on my computer...i discovered i have what is commonly known as "Home Search Assistant"...i don't feel like wasting the energy into describing what it is and what it does how mind-bogglingly difficult it is to get rid of right now...so i'll just leave it at that...you can look it up if you feel so inclined...

yesterday morning i went to the bank...i had a fucking $12 "service charge" in my savings account a couple weeks ago...it turns out that, while there's no "limit" to how much money you're supposed to have in your savings account, you have to always have above one thousand dollars in your checking and savings combined to avoid this 3-month fee...it's about the most sneaky and underhanded shuffling of jargon imaginable (well, i'm being a tid bit melodramatic with that, but it is sneaky, underhanded BULLSHIT!!!) so i cancelled my savings account...that was fun while that lasted...then i went through a long, tedious process for fixing my computer...thought i did it...but i didn't get it all and the shit's still there...that pissed me off...i guess i'll have to try again later when i feel like expending the energy...so later that afternoon Justin came over and we ate Fino's...played some video games...he showed me the greatness of www.youhavebadtasteinmusic.com (i recommend everyone visiting and perusing its contents...then he left really early...i went to Bookstar and got:
Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon
Ficciones by Jorge Luis Borges (this time in english...so if i ever attempt the spanish version i have i can double check that i'm not completely missing crucial important stuff...as happened when i started Crónica de una Muerte Anunciada by Gabriel García Márquez...and ended defecting to Chronicle of a Death Foretold so i could accurately and finish in a timely manner for the spanish class in question...)
oh yeah...and earlier i got stuff in the mail...some cds that i had ordered in my big binge from weeks, weeks ago...they were very late...(at least one has the excuse of coming from england...):
Nico: The End
Goblin: Profondo Rosso
during the evening i also finished reading The Atrocity Exhibition by J.G. Ballard...i had been working on it far too long (because of it's unwieldy size, it had been my reading-only-at-home book...which translates to read-almost-only-on-the-toilet book...incidentally, i wasn't on the toilet when i finished last night...i had a rare moment of just reading for the heck of it...) then Jason and Amanda came over...we watched Chairman of the Board...

i woke up early today due to immensely painful diarrhea...it seems to be subsiding now...but yeah...that sucked...

Hey Robert! Last night, I had this dream that I was in the front seat of this car eating this banana and then I looked down and it was your wiener. Just kidding! That was in true life.
